Job Description

Growing Northside social service agency ($10 M budget) is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead, guide, and mentor Finance and other administrative functions (Human Resources, IT, and Facilities), in the fulfillment of their various responsibilities. This position ensures that administrative areas function efficiently and provides accurate information, in support of Company's mission. Vice President fosters and ensures collaboration amongst TNM staff members.

The ideal candidate will be a first-rate strategic thinker and have experience developing and implementing sophisticated policies and procedures within finance and administrative services. They will promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning, commitment to quality, and efficient back-office support for program functions.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following areas:

Agency Leadership:

Directly accountable to the President for the performance of all responsibilities related to financial management and administration.

Articulates a vision that others choose to follow. Models behaviors expected of others and inspire others to undertake challenging tasks and projects. Consistently demonstrates the ability to build effective working relationships as well as gain the trust of others.

As a key decision-maker in the organization, take an active role in recommending strategic opportunities and directions; stay abreast of best and emerging promising practices to apply to agency operations that may inform decisions.

Play an active role as a member of the Strategic Leadership Team, attending all meetings of the team and working with fellow team members, who are also direct reports, to implement decisions made by the team

Ability to communicate across functions, to ensure that all aspects of Finance and Administration are strategically positioned to support future organizational growt

Human Resources:

Provide leadership for overall strategy in all aspects of HR operations including professional development, succession planning, employee relations, recruitment and retention, training, HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration.

Direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources.

Assist in integrating Human Resources into programmatic activities, developing ways in which TNM can better support and develop its employees' technical and leadership skills.

Finance and Operations:

Ensure that all financial statements accurately represent the financial position of the Organization and thoroughly vet before dissemination to the President and the Board of Directors.

Supervise the Senior Director of Finance and Operations

Provide leadership for overall strategy in all aspects of Finance and Administrations, including budgeting, annual audit process, asset management, IT, facilities, and infrastructure management, to support efficient and effective operations.

Ensure that all financial statements accurately represent the financial position of the Organization and thoroughly vet before dissemination to the President and the Board of Directors.

Provide leadership to the creation and implementation of preventative maintenance plans for facilities, including vehicles, and IT systems.
