Part of the Transport field, Accountemps needs an orderly Billing Clerk with an eye for detail to join their team. This long-term temporary-to-full-time Billing Clerk opportunity is with an organization in the Transport industry and is based in the Schaumburg, Illinois area. In this Billing Clerk position, your responsibilities will include reviewing bills and entering data into spreadsheets and accounting software. Your responsibilities in this role

- Operate closely with other functional teams to certify data quality and consistency

- Establish financial controls and procedures

- Assess billing documents and other data for accuracy and completeness, tracking down missing or correct data when necessary

- Review, process, and evaluate bills or invoices for services rendered

Job Requirements

- Less than one year of experience preferred

- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

- Skilled in spreadsheets, internet applications and ERP systems

- Proficiency in Excel Formulas

- Background working with Perform Data Entry

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel

- Adeptness in billing

- Experience with Freight Carriers

- Prior experience with Freight Costs

- Freight Quotes experience preferred

- Strong familiarity with Freight Forwarder

- Practical knowledge of data entry

- Comprehension of Freight Charges

- Hands-on experience with Freight Claims

- Previous experience working with Air Freight

- General familiarity with customer service

- Expertise in Freight Forwarding

- Demonstrated knowledge of export customer service

- Demonstrated knowledge of customer invoices

- Numeric data entry experience highly preferred

- General familiarity with Export Shipments

- Adeptness in Import Export

- Good understanding of Computer Data Entry

- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

- Pivot Table experience highly desired

- International Freight experience desired

- Freight Bill experience highly valued

- Earlier work involving Typing Data Entry

- Import customer service experience highly desired

- VLOOKUP experience

- Foundational knowledge in export - import documents
